The Western Skyline with Karen McDonnell 27th May 2017
On the Western Skyline today we’re indulging in some music from the UK, or that namechecks places in London. A bit of a pre-election/Brexit playlist, so!!
There’s news of a new art exhibition, and some heritage info. And this week’s poem is MCMXIV by Philip Larkin – a poignant invocation of England on the cusp of WWI, written on the 50th anniversary on the beginning of that war.
I hope you like it. If you have any poems you’d like to hear, or other suggestions for the show, email firstname.lastname@example.org using The Western Skyline in the subject line.
